“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
The Grand Rapids Christian High School students have left and they don’t know it but they left a part of themselves in my heart. Each one of them is an interesting person I would like to know better. The experience was so enriching for Jeff and I, as I know it was for Kyla and Frank. Everything went so much better than I ever could have imagined. I was concerned about making dinners but Kyla had that handled: she shopped with the designated chefs, then made it and cleaned it up. We were invited to dinner and all we had to do was eat! The conversation was always lively and fun.
Seeing Frank minister to them from the Psalm was precious. I have seen him have quiet time alone on his back patio. I know his desire is to make an impression on these kids that finding time for devotions is do-able. They are all such high achieving kids, and how much better they will do if they take time to ask God for direction and to praise Him for His provision. They are being challenged to strengthen their trust muscle, and that is always a good thing.
I pray that each one will remember what God has done in this time away to rest, be still, and hear His voice and that they will bear much fruit.
